Lyn goes in depth about commitment

On Wednesday afternoon Keondrick Lyn decided to switch his commitment from Northern Illinois to Syracuse University.

The Orange took over the top spot for Lyn after he took a visit to see the Big East program because of a few reasons. One of the main reasons was the Florida players already on the Syracuse roster.

"It had to be the people that I already knew from Florida that went to Syracuse. They made me feel real comfortable on my visit. Then when Syracuse came for the visit at my house they really convinced my mom. I was just waiting on my mom," Lyn said. "When I was up on my visit talking with everybody and getting a feel for the coaches and everything that is when I knew i would pick them. It was all up to my mom after that."

What was it exactly that impressed Lyn's mother about Syracuse?

"She liked the dorms, the campus, and the communications school because it is the number one school in the nation. Education was another big factor in the decision."

Lyn, 6-foot-1, 172 pounds was not the only one excited about the decision.

"The coaches were really happy. They had been trying to get me to pull the trigger for the longest time and now that I finally did it they were happy. I called them before they caught their flight, so they had good news before the flight."

There was a lot that Lyn liked about the Orange, but some parts were more special than others.

"I would have to say that it was the tradition and history of the program that made it special. "

Only about six months stand in front of Lyn and making it the Syracuse campus as a member of the 2010 football team. When he gets to campus he will be eager to help the Orange get back on top of the Big East.

"When I get to school I am looking forward to getting a degree and winning the Big East," Lyn said. "My main goal is to get that championship."

According to Lyn the wins are coming soon and he can't wait to help his new team.

"Syracuse fans are going to get an athlete. I am going to be playing it all to help the team win and we are going to win trust me. We are going to a bowl game."
