Dolphins Sign Rupert Bryan
The Miami Dolphins have signed former FIU offensive tackle Rupert Bryan, the team announced.
Bryan has shed weight and is now a fullback.
Bryan was not selected in the 2013 NFL Draft following his playing career at Florida International University. While he with the Golden Panthers Bryan recorded 43 starts at tackle which is the most starts by an offensive tackle at FIU. Born March 19, 1991 in Belle Glade, Florida, Bryan attended Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Fla.

2012 (Senior): Earned All-Sun Belt Conference Honorable Mention in 2012 voted by league coaches and media to the 2012 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Team...recognized by Athlon's, Lindy's and Phil Steele on their preseason All-Sun Belt Conference selections for 2012...a veteran leader on FIU's offensive line who has recorded 43 career starts which is the most starts by an offensive tackle at FIU.
2011 (Junior): Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference...started 13 games for the second consecutive season...at right guard, was a key component of an offensive line that gave up the second-fewest sacks in 2011 and helped pave the way for Kedrick Rhodes to have a record-breaking season and for the second-most team rushing yards in a season...the FIU backfield ran for 1,893 yards on the season.
2010 (Sophomore): Started all 13 games...was one of the six players on the team to have started every game...part of an offensive line that opened the rushing game to finish 27th nationally in rushing offense, a single-season program record of 2,438 yards on the ground going into the bowl game...helped the offensive line allow just 1.54 sacks-per-game, good enough for 38th in the country...the offensive line as a whole received an ESPN.com helmet sticker against Troy (11/13) when they opened holes for the running game to the tune of a program-record 448 rushing yards.
2009 (Freshman): Appeared in nine games, making starts against Arkansas State (10/24), Middle Tennessee (11/7) and North Texas (11/14).
Glades Central: Anchored an offensive unit that ended the regular season ranked second overall in Palm Beach County Class 3A-1B, averaging 371.7 yards per game...after a great season with Glades Central he was named Palm Beach Post First-Team All-County and First-Team 12-3A All-District...received three stars from the Rivals recruiting service.
