Colts select Hilton in third round

With the 92nd pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Florida International senior wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
With his selection in the third round, Hilton is the highest drafted Golden Panther ever. Former Panthers linebacker Antwan Barnes previously held the mark as the highest FIU draftee going in the fourth round to the Baltimore Ravens in 2007.

As a senior, Hilton caught 72 passes for 1,038 yards and seven touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 183 pound third round selection can also contribute on special teams as a kick and punt returner.
Indianapolis traded its fourth-round pick and a fifth-rounder in 2013 to Baltimore to get the choice.
