FIU basketball adds transfer

FIU Head Coach Richard Pitino announced on Friday the addition of transfer Cody Mann to the men's basketball squad.
"We are excited about the addition of Cody Mann to our basketball program," Pitino said. "He will bring an immediate impact on the court as well as off the court. He is a great kid with a bright future and we are excited to have him as a part of our family."

Mann will redshirt the 2012-2013 season and be eligible to compete for the Panthers during the 2013-2014 school year.
The native of Miami, Fla., played 17 games at Colorado State University, averaging 5.0 minutes-per-game for the Rams.
In high school, Mann averaged 15 points and four assists-per-game as a senior for national power Dr. Krop High School. He helped his team to a No. 8 national ranking during the 2010-11 season, playing with current Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez. Mann led the Lightning with 18 points in a victory over nationally top-ranked Miller Grove (Ga.) High School on Jan. 22, 2011.
The 6-foot, 160-pound guard is the son of Karen Mann.
