NEW OL Signed

Tim Thomas, a 6-6, 315-pound offensive lineman from Crowley (Texas) High School has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play his college football at FIU, the school announced Friday.

Thomas is the Panthers' 20th NLI signing in 2013, and the fourth offensive lineman in the class joining Jordan Budwig (6-4, 330/Ft. Lauderdale University School), James Cruise (6-5, 275/Palm Beach Gardens HS) and Chris Flaig (6-5, 305/Vero Beach HS).

Crowley: 2012 University Interscholastic League District 8-4A All-District First Team Offense…team won District 8-4A Championship after undefeated (7-0 District, 10-2 overall) season…played at offensive guard…part of an offensive line that helped pave the way for over 3,300 team rushing yards in 2012…team advanced to the Class 4A Division I Area playoff round, after an opening stage victory in the Bi-District round…also a three-year member of the varsity basketball squad.
